Our family is traveling this week and so I’m going to give myself some grace and write a short list of what’s helping lately.
- My husband

- Warm hugs (it’s not just Olaf who likes ’em)
- Self-talk
- Hot, delicious drinks
- Looking for little things, such as interesting textures or hidden shapes, to enjoy on walks
- Helping to take care of animals

- Getting out in the sunshine
- Feeling the wind on my face
- Walking briskly at least 15 minutes a day (I’ll have to qualify this by saying it’s a GOAL, not necessarily an accomplishment some weeks). But, I do feel a lot better when I do it.
- Trying to drink more water
- Putting my phone down at night and not looking at it in bed. (This goes into the goal category when Jeff isn’t home because I miss him and use my phone to lull myself to sleep. Not the healthiest, but it’s true and I’m working on it.)
Speaking of going to bed: I’m going to do that and Jeff’s right here so my phone is going to bed too! More soon….What helps you feel better on a day to day basis?

First of all, those are all great ideas! Secondly, I am glad you listed Jeff in the top spot because he has certainly earned that. Together, through all of this, you have shown what true love is. And it’s beautiful. For myself, I would add gardening, mosaics, clay, and spending time with family to the list of things that make me feel better on a day to day basis. 💕

Hugs with Ed always make me feel better, just as hugs with Jeff do for you. I think we both found soulmates. Staying busy with projects in the yard or indoors, and taking photographs, which is similar to your finding shapes and textures on walks. I think you have a talent with art, like your mom – have you ventured to work on something along those lines yet?
